چکیده
This paper presents a simulation technique and a computer program for fast DC analysis of MOS transistor based VLSI circuits. Time domain analysis of a VLSI circuit is evaluated by a piecewise constant waveform approximation. This approximation is realized by repeatedly applying the developed DC analysis engine with initial conditions. All proposed methods such as device modeling, circuit partitioning and event-driven simulation were implemented and combined with such well known algorithms as modified nodal analysis (MNA) [1], Katzenelson algorithm [2] and Gaussian elimination in the form of a circuit simulation program: SAMOC. Time domain waveforms and benchmark circuit simulation results comparison of SPICE and SAMOC are presented.

A Signal Driven Large Mos-capacitor Circuit Simulator
A software organization of a new circuit simulator, SAMOC (Switchedcapacitor Analysis of MOs Circuit) is presented in this paper. SAMOC employs extremely simplified, piecewise linear, resistive models to represent the semiconductor devices such as MOS transistors and ideal diodes in the simulated circuits. SAMOC also supports ideal switches and ideal capacitors for analyzing switched-capacitor ...
متن کاملA Simulation Example of SAMOC
With the device models presented in chapter 2 and the simulation techniques presented in chapter 3, SAMOC can analyze DC solutions of MOS circuits. In order to test the models and the simulation techniques, some simple circuits are selected to be analyzed by SAMOC. One of the most important circuit parts in analog CMOS circuit design is the differential amplifier. A differential amplifier is us...
متن کاملSpice Compatible Model for Multiple Coupled Nonuniform Transmission Lines Application in Transient Analysis of VLSI Circuits
An SPICE compatible model for multiple coupled nonuniform lossless transmission lines (TL's) is presented. The method of the modeling is based on the steplines approximation of the nonuniform TLs and quasi-TEM assumptions. Using steplines approximation the system of coupled nonuniform TLs is subdivided into arbitrary large number of coupled uniform lines (steplines) with different characteristi...

In this paper we implement a simple DC model for CNTFETs already proposed by us in order to carry out static analysis of basic digital circuits. To verify the validity of the obtained results, they are compared with those of Wong model, resulting in good agreement, but obtaining a lighter ensuring compile and shorter execution time, which are the main character...
متن کاملA Design Methodology for Reliable MRF-Based Logic Gates
Probabilistic-based methods have been used for designing noise tolerant circuits recently. In these methods, however, there is not any reliability mechanism that is essential for nanometer digital VLSI circuits. In this paper, we propose a novel method for designing reliable probabilistic-based logic gates. The advantage of the proposed method in comparison with previous probabilistic-based met...
